Modfather tops MOJO honour roll
Weller – known as "The Modfather" for his influence on younger artists – received the Outstanding Contribution to Music, while Led Zeppelin were honoured with the Best Live Act award following their incredible comeback performance at London’s O2 arena last year. Other artists honoured at the ceremony, which is hosted by influential British music magazine MOJO, included the Sex Pistols who were handed the MOJO Icon prize and Neil Diamond, who won the Classic Songwriter accolade. The awards – hosted by MOJO editor Phil Alexander – also recognised newcomers Duffy, who received MOJO Song of the Year for ‘Mercy’, and the Last Shadow Puppets - the side-project of Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner – who received the gong for Breakthrough Act. Keeping with the spirit of his Maverick award, The Fall’s Mark E. Smith refused to pose for pictures to celebrate his success after learning he would have to share stage space with The Cribs, who had presented him with the prize. The Specials were honoured with a place in the MOJO Hall of Fame, joining the likes of Sir Elton John and The Doors. The launch of GreenLight, effective today, advances Corbis' strategic

content in both advertising and consumer products, and the launch of
GreenLight underscores what we see as a huge long term trend and business
opportunity," said Gary Shenk, CEO of Corbis Holdings. "The GreenLight
brand will accelerate our momentum in this market while continuing to
complement our image licensing businesses."
GreenLight will also expand its offering to include Talent Negotiation,

relationships with the key agents, music publishers, TV and film studios
and other rights holders in Hollywood and around the world," said Mark
Sherman, Senior Vice President and Head of GreenLight. "We're one of the
most experienced global rights services firms, with a team of dedicated
experts across three continents. And to protect our clients, we indemnify
them for the rights we clear."
GreenLight's new visual identity, logo, website and brand essence
embody the company's mission to help companies and advertisers to quickly
get approval for -- or "green light" -- creative projects that require the
use of iconic celebrities, music, film, TV or other intellectual property.
In addition to its new Talent Negotiation offering, GreenLight helps
clients license and clear rights to celebrity likeness, feature film and TV
clips, music, trademarks and more to create innovative products and
effective advertising. By conducting thousands of clearances annually for
companies and ad agencies around the world, GreenLight can provide insight
into what can be licensed quickly, how long it will take and how much it
should cost.

these personas and their estates, GreenLight works closely with hundreds of

Sara Evans' Blended Family
Forget the Brady Bunch!
Sara Evans will have her own large extended family when she ties the knot with footballer-turned-radio host Jay Barker later this year.
With Jay being a father to four (from his previous marriage) and Sara a mother to three, it's definitely going to be a full house, but the country singer is not at all concerned about how her children will react to Jay being their stepfather.
"I feel so blessed on behalf of my children that they get to have him as their stepdad," Sara tells OK! at the CMA Music Festival. "He's one of the most amazing fathers I've ever been around. He was taught really well. Hes very patient. Hes the kind of guy that coaches, hes a mentor to children he always has been and hes a natural with kids. Hes very hands-on."
As for how the seven children will interact, the 37-year-old, who weathered a public divorce from Craig Schelske, isn't all that worried either. Spending a lot of time together is key to blending the families together, she says.
"They need to be together as much as possible," she sayas. "My children will go to school in Birmingham, and theyll be able to see each other half the time theyll be together. We do that a lot now. Thats our goal. To try and blend it, and when they look back on this and theyre adults, theyll literally feel like they came from a family of seven kids."
While even the thought of raising seven kids would give many a headache, Sara doesn't see it that way.
"Its amazing. We have a 9, two 8s, two 6s, a 5 and a 3. Its just tons of love and tons of joy."
